General Accountability: Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of a project's targeted outcomes/objectives within the agreed time and budget and to a level of quality that is deemed more than acceptable by the customer. Specific Accountabilities: 1. Deliver projects on schedule. 2. Deliver a quality solution, ie one that the customer perceives as a high quality outcome and one that stands up in terms of industry best practice. 3. Achieve financial success of a project. 4. Manage customer expectations/relationships with regards to the delivery of the project. 5. Establish the project monitoring and reporting mechanisms. 6. Own project-based practices and processes - establishment, maintenance, adherence. 7. Deliver project management, solutions delivery and solutions maintenance deliverables and activities in line with the processes, standards, techniques and templates prescribed by the applicable Delivery Services offering(s) and/or competencies. 8. Establish the project resource plan and structure - staff required for the project along with start and end dates, roles and responsibilities and who they report to while on the project. 9. Allocate tasks to the team directly. 10. Manage the contract in regards to ensuring the delivery of the project is in line with the terms andconditions of the contract signed between the customer and Delivery Services, invoking contractual clauses. 11. Manage and lead the work performed by project resources - interviewing, selecting, inducting (project), managing performance (assignment descriptions and reviews, staff development where appropriate), and releasing from the project.  Act as first point of contact for all staffing matters. 12. Review all project related items such as staff timesheets, direct expenses (billable and non-billable), leave of absence, training, infrastructure procurement and establishment, work orders and change requests. 13. Approve leave requests. 14. Perform financial forecasting - revenue, cost and margin. 15. Produce the necessary documentation needed to request resources to be assigned to the project. 16. Report project progress to the Senior Project Manager and/or Director/VP, Service Delivery, every two weeks or other mutually agreed to schedule. 17. Manage all project communications - to team, to customer, to other internal/external stakeholders 18. Serve as a member of the Customer Account Team, identifying new opportunities within assigned customer accounts and advising the best manner to qualify them (participating in that qualification as appropriate). 19. Attend internal special interest groups relating to the Project Management competency. 20. Understands and demonstrates the willingness to promote Acrodex's vision and values. Qualifications (Education/Experience/Skills and Abilities) 1. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field required. 2. 3-5 years of relevant experience in delivery of IT solutions. 3. 1-3 years project management experience. 4. Solid experience in project management methodology - PMP Certification is a requirement and having PRINCE 2 Certification is an asset. 5. ITIL v3 Foundations is a requirement with any intermediate ITIL training (eg Service Delivery) or certification is an asset. 6. Prior experience working with the full project life cycle with standardized methodologies is an asset. 7. Experience with a wide variety of IT solutions, services and technologies; including desktop, server, network and software solutions and/or application and database technologies, Microsoft SQL Server, .NET, Oracle, J2EE, Visual Basic, C /C#, etc. 8. Experience in applying leading methodologies to the provision of application delivery and/or maintenance services. 9. Demonstrated ability to provide effective project oversight - ensuring project remains on track with regards to schedule, budget and quality of output. 10. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in scheduling, budgeting, planning, problem solving and resource management. 11. Demonstrated process and change management experience. 12. Excellent forecasting and governance skills and ISO experience (ISO certification is an asset). 13. Strong attention to detail - on resourcing, financial position, milestone achievement, etc. 14. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 15. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage internal and external customers to gather comprehensive requirements and to facilitate consensus for minor issues. 16. Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to clearly and effectively interpret and present information to mid-level management. 17. Mature, responsible, dynamic, with strong organization and planning skills. 18. Ability to work independently ie performs tasks and duties subject only to limited review of work. 19. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and management expertise to project staff.
